My name is Taylor Baker, I'm 17 years old and I am an Intern at the Dash Art Gallery in TriBeca, NY. The Gallery is owned by the notorious Damon Dash of Rocafella Records and is a masterpiece of his own mind. I like to think of DD172 as a front for a world of young art, music, talent, and creativity. When one enters the so-called "Art Gallery," the impression of a simple Manhattan artgallery is given off from the simple white walls, solid front counter, and various pieces of art scattered across the area. But one would quite mistaken by how much more is hidden behind the first impression. The ins and outs, cracks and crevices of the gallery that are hidden from the naked eye is where the true potential of the gallery lies. As an intern theres much to learn about the Dash Gallery and each day reveals new secrets of amazing world of DD172. This blog has been created to record my experience as an intern, and reveal the exclusive insight to the creativity that goes down beyond the Dash Gallery front.
